Lucker Camp Scholarship Endowment Fund

ALLEGRO has announced a new effort to make its unique youth orchestra camp more available to students - the "Lucker Camp Scholarship Program." The scholarship program has been established in honor of music enthusiast Diana Lee Lucker, music coordinator and organist at Wayzata Community Church. Diana's advocacy and support of ALLEGRO has helped create a camp where young musicians become part of an orchestra experience like no other.

More than eight years ago Diana selected Allegro Sinfonia as the Orchestra-in-Resident of Wayzata Community Church. The position helped establish a successful and unique relationship between ALLEGRO, Wayzata Community Church, and the city of Wayzata. Diana and William Stuber, ALLEGRO's Artistic Director and Conductor, have since collaborated to bring an incredible amount of music to the city of Wayzata and those who visit. In its 8th year, the Allegro Orchestra Camp offers youth the chance to study music, filling a void often left empty by schools that are making more and more cuts in their music programs. The camp is open to strings, winds and percussion students currently in grades 3 to 12.
