Orchestra-in-residence
Allegro Con Brio serves as the professional orchestra-in-residence
of the camp. Allegro Con Brio will perform a special concert/demonstration
for the students. In addition, the Philharmonic orchestra
from the camp will perform side-by-side with the orchestra
in June. In its fourth year, Allegro Con Brio is an annual
innovative concert festival that brings together the Twin
Cities' top orchestra musicians, soloists and artists from
such prestigious organizations as the Minnesota Orchestra,
Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and VocalEssence.
The only thing people can expect when they attend Allegro
Con Brio is that there will be a fabulous orchestra on the
stage. The annual event allows ALLEGRO to present a very unique
concert approach, while maintaining extremely high artistic
quality. The goal of Allegro Con Brio is to help audience
members understand how music can impact their daily lives
and attempts to make orchestra music more accessible to a
wide array of audience members, without presenting a typical
"pops" concert. More on Allegro
